I do that. Especially when I make tea. It works. The entire kitchen should be made from sove material, maybe the entire world =)

Or just wipe it for 3 seconds after you cook before you eat.
I find that cleaning while I cook cuts a lot of time out of the cleaning process.
I just did this today–the trying to clean the stove thing! After several hrs of sitting under bleach, it’s still a bit nasty looking, so tomorrow morning my stove will get a good hot water soak. Thanks, Josh!
I hear vinegar works well for these things too.
