Fuck You, European door handles!!!
Those door handles have a tendency to catch my forearm as I walk past
The worst part is, it doesn't catch my hole arm, but instead gets right between the bone and muscle...and it fucking hurts!
Fuck those things!

Fuck those things!

It’s a regional thing…
I have my reservations when it comes to those round knobs in north america too. Ever tried to open a door with wet hands? Or worse when you had oil or grease on them? In Europe I get away with pushing the handle down with my elbow. (Except when it comes to the inside of front doors in Finland, they have a weird system where you have to turn a knob AND push down the handle…)
These are all valid reasons for the universal implementation of mandatory Star Trek doors.
@Code Crimson, I would be content enough if every computer and appliance had Majel Barrett’s voice.
Round knobs are great, I love watching children with small hands try to open them. My son(4) will look at it, set his jaw and wrap half his arm around it trying to wrench it free. Sometimes I will be inside and I hear a massive struggle from outside, then a very small (daddy…I need help).
Myself however, I can open a round door knob with my foot, forearm, 1 finger…it is a talent. What I hate about the lever ones is they snag on my clothes and backpacks…get the whole dog at the end of the chain effect.
@DB The question is, how many things can be holding at once while opening a door without dropping anything?
Cool though, man. Now you have two elbows.
The ones that annoy me are the British round door knobs in the exact center of the door. Ever hear of leverage, people?
